After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Yamanaka worked in children's apparel and consumer goods marketing — including roles at Mikihouse and P&G in Japan and Singapore. As his career shifted away from direct contact with children, he felt a growing desire to make a more meaningful difference in their lives. Encouraged by his physician to consider pediatrics, he made the bold decision to enter medical school and pursue his calling.
Following graduation, he trained at the Shizuoka Children's Hospital — one of Japan's top pediatric specialty centers — where he earned board certification and gained experience with rare diseases and advanced care. He went on to serve at a general hospital before founding Papillon Kids Clinic in Iwakuni.
This motto — from Mikihouse, where he once worked — guides everything we do at our clinic. Whether your child needs a routine check-up or you have a worry you can't quite put into words, we're here for you.
